When selecting an article on Multiple Regression, stick with empirical studies (a study that uses the analysis to test a research question) from peer reviewed journals.
Do not select any of the following types of articles: a review article, an article that uses meta analyses, or a methodological article (which is an article about the analysis itself rather than a study that uses the analysis to test a research question.
Include the following in your critique:
The research question being tested with the analysis
Describe the variables used in the analysis, including the level of measurement for each variable.
When you discuss the appropriateness of the analysis, consider how the analysis aligns with the research question and ALSO the level of measurement of the variables.
Evaluate how the results were reported: was the results section (including text and tables read in combination) clear, complete, and concise? Praise strengths in the presentation and make suggestions for improvement.
