Question Description
Write a compelling sports story – free of grammatical errors – effectively using writing techniques discussed during the semester (NO MORE THAN 700 words).
This is the topic of the specific story to write about:
How playing sports at a young age or before an athletes main sport, has actually aided in the skillset of that athletes current sport.
- With playing sports while being young or even training for certain sports, many athletes that are talented are from the skills learned from those sports.
- The story will focus on those athletes who have a different sport background, that they can say that sport gave him/her certain skills that are effective in their player success.
- The Multimedia outlet I would use is doing an 1 on 1 interview with an athlete, and ask them questions about what skills from sports before translated to their success now
- The story will focus on those athletes who have a different sport background, that they can say that sport gave him/her certain skills that are effective in their player success.
You can fake the interview, there just has to be quotes from the athlete that came from an interview I conducted.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
As stated in class, just because the written story has a maximum of 700 words does NOT mean that you must hit 700. If you feel like you can tell an effective and compelling story in less than 700 words, by all means, do so. I would warn you, however, if you submit a 150-word story that isn’t compelling and is clearly missing information that you could/should have provided, that will be reflected in your grade
