Offer, as the syllabus suggests, a summary paragraph with a direct opening sentence (In “_____,” job title-name verb ________.) Then walk us through the text’s structure and findings, with an overall takeaway the text provides. A second paragraph should explain how this text can help you as a student writer and thinking person.

Text two, a self-chosen source text: Choose your first source of your research project and write what it it is (summary), how it helps answer your question (provide specifics), and based on its findings, what your next source should cover. Write, too, how this source helps you understand your question or problem as a thinking person in a society affected by your topic.
