You will develop an Anticipatory Guidance Family Plan to address each aspect; include resources and tools that can be shared with families; and plan for how you would approach families with this information.

Part 1: Health and Safety Concerns
Identify the infancy age range that you selected and identify the two health concerns and two safety concerns that are typical within the period of development. Explain why each health and safety concern is significant for children within the period of development. Use resources to support your explanation.
Part 2: Anticipatory Guidance Plan
Develop and explain in detail your Anticipatory Guidance Plan for a family that addresses the four concerns (two health and two safety); including resources you can share with the family. Provide an outline of the approach you would use to share the information with the family and connect to course content.
Part 3: Reflection and Connection
Reflect on and explain why adopting an Anticipatory Guidance approach would be beneficial for use in a group care context with infants and toddlers.
Paper will be graded on your ability to explain Anticipatory Guidance and utilize it as a strategy to provide support to families about health and safety concerns for their developing child. Anticipatory Guidance Plan should be clearly presented and include resources that are appropriate to the health or safety concern and the age of the child.
