Content: The midterm will be similar in nature to the practice exams which are available below. It will cover everything up to and including HW 3: in terms of the book, this means sections 2.3, 2.5, 3.2, 5.1-5.5 and 6.1-6.2. (You can ignore, as mentioned below, stuff about error bounds in Taylor series, and the terminology like “x/y-simple” and “elementary” which I haven’t used.)
