Question Description
Human beings design, build, manage, maintain, and fly the aircraft that the flying public rely on every day to meet their travel needs. As we have learned in this course, while humans are amazingly well-equipped to perform these tasks, limitations do exist within the species. In short, we are only human. The goal of aviation human factors is to recognize weaknesses in a system and to optimize each of its components, and their interactions, to improve its safety and efficiency. As a result, the field is constantly innovating.
The goal is to pitch this new idea to the U.S. Department of Aviation Human Factors (made-up entity), as they are willing to fully fund the innovation that they feel will be the next ground-breaking development in aviation safety. To do this successfully, you will need to include the following elements with your full project.
Media Presentation:
- The aviation system you are addressing
- The weakness that exists within that aviation system
- The innovation you have developed reduce or eradicate this weakness.
- How this innovation will optimize the system increase Safety&/or efficiency)
