Finally, using what you have learned about sensation & perception as well as what you have learned specifically about our senses of hearing and seeing, explain the mysteries. Why do we see or hear totally different things? Remember to include evidence and sources to back up your argument or stance. You are encouraged to use additional sources besides your textbook and the videos. Just remember to use APA formatting (see detailed instructions below).
Instructions & Grading Rubric
- Responses for all Critical Thinking Assignments should be approximately 500-600 words. This word count is for the body of your paper only and does not include any abstract and/or reference list. You can use Microsoft Word to help you do a word count.
- Be sure to include scholarly content in your response and properly attribute credit to your sources in APA format (use the APA links provided to help you). I am particularly looking for your proper use of in-text citations, use of scholarly content (not just your textbook…use other sources also!), and your inclusion of a works-cited/reference list.
- See Critical Thinking Assignment Rubric attached to understand how you will be graded for all Critical Thinking Assignments.
- Click on the “submit assignment” box on the top right when you are ready to submit your assignment. You will then have the choice to use the “text” option and type directly in the response box or you may attach a Word document or PDF document if you prefer. Whichever option you use, be aware that a tool called Turnitin will be used to review all submissions. Turnitin is a plagiarism detection service that identifies potentially plagiarized or improperly cited text. The service automatically checks submitted work against an ever-increasing index of online sources. So please use your own words.
