Observe the pedestrian actions at a public space of your choosing. Observe for 15-20 minutes. Take hand-written notes on the following categories, which are detailed in the attached “Movement Observation” pdf – (note that this pdf is focused on writing about a dance, but your task is to write about a non-performative, pedestrian event or environment). Your notes may be fragmented, non-linear thoughts, but be sure to include plenty of adjectives and adverbs in your descriptions. Bring notes to class.
