Question Description
After reading Chapter 4 in your book, please answer the following questions.
1. Our names are incredibly important to us. Tell us about your name, where it came from, and how it has helped shape your life. What name do you go by, and why? Do you like your name? If you could change it, would you? And what would you change it to?
2. It is often thought that men and women are unable to communicate with each other, and stereotypes about each gender further this idea. We know from reading pages 57-58 that there are some differences between the way that masculine people and feminine people communicate, which begs the question: is it really that difficult to communicate with someone of another gender, or do we just believe it’s difficult because we’ve always been told it is? What are your thoughts?
