After reading excerpt from Herbert Marcuse’s One Dimensional Man, consider ways in which you are defined by the economic system. First, write a word or phrase that describes one part of your identity.
Second, describe how that characteristic is “commodified” (made sellable/consumable) and/or shaped by the economic system.

Third, consider the extent to which you free yourself from the values placed on that characteristic by the media/productive forces that commodified it.
